Mechanical and Electrical component models are used extensively for a range of CAD Services and M&E CAD Coordination projects where they are used to reflect the impact of scale models to the M&E Coordinated Solution. They are also used extensively for 3D M&E Visualisation and for 3D Building Models and 3D BIM Models.

XS CAD already has an extensive M&E Component library. Our library includes all types of mechanical and electrical components ranging from 3D HVAC Component Models, 3D Piping Component Models, 3D Electrical Component Models and 3D Drainage Component Models as well as all associated plant equipment.

Our 3D Component models are used for M&E Coordination projects by ourselves and our customers which include M&E specifiers and equipment manufacturers. We are able to provide cost reductions for large orders where mechanical or electrical component 3D CAD models are required.

In the event that XS CAD does not already hold the required 3D Mechanical and Electrical Component Model within our extensive library, we are able to produce the 3D models at very short notice and at minimal cost.

Output formats are generally biased towards Autodesk products such as Autodesk Building Systems (now known as Autodesk MEP) as they are normally created as solid AutoCAD 3D models. These 3D Component Models can also be used for AutoCAD add-on utilities such as CADDuct.
