The three-storey College will accommodate 670 students specialising in biomedical and environmental sciences and technologies. Some of the building’s sustainability features include a combined heat and power plant with low-carbon footprint, photovoltaic cells and gravel beds to control rainwater run-off.
XS CAD provided 3D MEP modeling and MEP Coordination services for the entire building. Our scope was to validate clashes within disciplines. We used Revit MEP and Autodesk Navisworks software (a specialist interference-checking application). Our scope also included the issue of single service sheets within the site.
