Increasing demand for prefabrication leads to XS CAD expansion

Recently, XS CAD expanded its DfMA and Prefabrication Design Division to cater to increasing prefabrication design needs worldwide. Using Revit and AutoCAD software to provide prefabricated design models and drawings for a range of prefabricated solutions, XS CAD’s expanded DfMA division includes engineering designers able to detail prefabricated ceiling and riser module racks, etc. XS CAD provides Western customers with 3D BIM models for fabrication.

XS CAD recently provided models and drawings for an installation of more than 750 prefabricated bathrooms, shower rooms and washroom pods for a large US-based hospital. This included structural details and support systems, as well as MEP services, fittings and sanitaryware,

The XS CAD design team also created 550 prefabricated engineering modules for corridor ceilings, risers and an external energy centre in a UK-based hospital recently. The DfMA team assisted with detailed module drawing preparation, and MEP services were coordinated to allow fitting, assembly, access and lagging.
