MEP Coordination

MEP (M&E) coordination or multiservice coordination, the spatial coordination of all building services (HVAC, pipework, public health and electrical systems) with other disciplines, is increasingly being created in a 3D environment. By creating a virtual 3D model, designers and coordinators can benefit from MEP BIM services in the following ways:

• Ensures there are no clashes (using clash detection software tools)
• Represents all mechanical components/kit accurately, ensuring that spatial issues are addressed before getting to the site
• Prevents site-based delays and disputes (all services have been proven to work together)
• Allows views, sections and detailed drawings to be produced easily and quickly
• Allows easy communication (3D model used for viewing and walk-throughs for demo, review, value engineering or QC purposes)

What We Provide

We provide spatially coordinated building services drawings for construction and engineering projects, one of our core skills. We perform, validate and deliver coordinated services drawings using BIM coordination services — providing a ‘clash-free solution’.

Software We Use

We use Revit MEP and clash detection technology, Autodesk Navisworks, for 3D building services coordination to verify that 3D MEP coordinated drawings in spatially coordinated MEP building services models work to engineering standards and constraints, as well as the building’s structural and architectural elements.

We use BIM 360 Design (formerly known as C4R), a cloud-based collaboration tool, to share project files and review them with global MEP design engineering teams, multidisciplinary consultants and MEP contractor teams. Our BIM 360 Design experience covers multinational project teams.
